Rebecca is a dedicated advocate running for City Council in East Lansing, Michigan. With over 15 years of advocacy experience, she demonstrates unwavering commitment to her community. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, and raised in Westfield, New Jersey, Rebecca moved to Michigan in 2020 to serve as the Director of Advocacy for a disability-related nonprofit. She quickly fell in love with her new city and the progressive direction of East Lansing.  Presently the Executive Director at the Women's Center of Greater Lansing, Rebecca is providing guidance and leadership to the non-profit agency which serves the Lansing area's most vulnerable citizens.

Rebecca’s advocacy journey began at a young age when she stood up for the full inclusion of girls with disabilities in her Girl Scouts troop. In college, her passion for community engagement and social justice further solidified. As a nonprofit executive, she has positively impacted thousands of marginalized individuals through programs that offer essential services, empower economically, and provide healthcare support.

Married to her husband, Raphael, for over eight years, Rebecca finds unwavering support and shared values within her loving family. They are devoted parents to their two daughters, Leia and Annie, who serve as her constant inspirations.

Rebecca aims to continue her impactful work and help East Lansing become a model city for progressive values. With her experience and dedication, she is the advocate East Lansing needs for positive change.
